The tractor of a farmer runs out of gas while he is plowing his field.
It’s too far for him and his dog, Old Joe, to walk, but he has to return to the farm.
He strolls onto the street and hoots at a sports automobile. The chauffeur remarks,
“I’ll drive you home, but I can’t fit that dog in my car.” The farmer assures us not to worry. Joe the old will keep up.
The driver chooses to rev the engine to its maximum power in an attempt to brag.
He sees Old Joe standing next to him through the glass as he shifts into fifth gear.
He applies the brakes with such force that Old Joe stops to a stunned stop. The driver lets go and exclaims,
He’s the most amazing puppy I’ve ever laid eyes on! Is the collar he’s wearing particularly noteworthy?
With a shake of his head, the farmer says: It’s not a collar, that That’s how he rolls. He isn’t accustomed to quitting so quickly.
