A man in Texas bought a guitar believed to be signed by Taylor Swift herself, but he was certainly not a Swiftie.
How am I aware of that? Well, that was shown by just how rapid he was to crush it with a hammer.
Note that some of the content in this page may offend ardent supporters of Taylor Swift. Particularly those who would stop at nothing to obtain one of the instruments the musician has utilized to compose her beloved tunes.

The assault on the guitar happened on Saturday, September 28, at the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner in Waxahachie, Texas.
The Ellis County Wild Game Dinner describes itself as a nonprofit dedicated to “supporting agricultural and rural education to the youth of Ellis County” on its website. To that end, it provides grants for animal and ag mechanics projects, scholarships, and the opportunity to purchase projects at the Ellis County Youth Expo.
As stated on the website, “We will do everything in our power to support young people who are willing to work toward bettering themselves and provide them with the means to reward themselves.”
According to the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner’s Facebook page, one of the auction items was a “guitar autographed by country music star Taylor Swift” as part of their objective to support young people.
When it came time for the guitar to be auctioned off, one man took notice and started bidding. According to the person who shared the video on TikTok, the man offered up $3,200 to become the guitar’s new owner. The guitar was donated by a group called “WGB Sponsors,” and an image on the Facebook page featured a plain brown guitar. The guitar was actually featured in a video from the auction, which was much more Swift-centric as it was decorated with images from Swift’s recent Eras Tour.
Many Swifties would kill for that buy, but it’s obvious the man wasn’t planning on putting the instrument on display in his house.
Rather, it was given to him with a hammer, which he took and started driving into the instrument’s wood.
Since the video was initially shot in Texas, it has gone viral, and some fans have speculated that the man’s emotions might be politically motivated in light of Swift’s recent support for Kamala Harris.
Regardless of his source of inspiration, the man has generated conflicting opinions on social media, with some saying it was “money well spent.”
Others countered that the man was wasting his money and that there were other uses for it.
One person on Twitter stated, “Taylor Swift just lost $4,000, so it doesn’t affect him.” Imagine shelling out $4k for a guitar when there’s a real emergency on the east coast, someone else said. Several other people may have benefited from that $4K instead of just one collector.
