A loving mother, Allie related how her daughter’s wedding took an unanticipated turn. Given that Tara had contributed to their divorce twelve years prior, she had requested that Tara, her ex-husband’s wife, not be present at the wedding. This request was approved by her daughter.
But on the wedding day, Tara was brought by her ex-husband, who claimed, “Wherever I go, my wife goes too.” Tara was asked to leave by Allie since she didn’t want her around. Tara obeyed, but not long after, she texted Allie to let her know that she wasn’t the only one who had departed. Recall that it was you who inflicted this on your daughter. Enjoy your day now.
Allie heard her daughter scream not too long after that. Her ex-husband had abandoned his daughter on her special day, walking out of the wedding with Tara. “Mom, Dad and Tara went out too. Her daughter sobbed as she told Allie, “He was supposed to walk me down the aisle, but he left me.”
Allie intervened right away to save the moment even though she knew her kid was inconsolable. She consoled her daughter, wiped away her tears, and escorted her down the aisle. Even though the ceremony continued, Allie was aware that her ex-husband’s antics had marred the day.
As he did with Allie years ago, her daughter now thinks she can never forgive her father for abandoning her on such a significant day. Now that her daughter is dealing with this terrible betrayal, Allie finds herself unsure on how to handle the issue.
