Do you recall one of the first celebrities on YouTube, Jenna Marbles? With more than 20 million followers and nearly 2 billion views, she was well-known. However, her brief rise to stardom was short-lived as her poor reputation led to her termination.
2020 saw the release of an apologetic video by Jenna Mourey, better known online as Jenna Marbles, stating the reasons behind her site closure. She said that the 2011 video in which she impersonated Nicki Minaj in blackface was painful and embarrassing, and that it made her feel horrible.
Though Jenna hasn’t been seen much since she moved out, she has experienced a lot of significant life events. Her boyfriend, fellow YouTuber Julien Solomita, announced to the world that they would be getting married in 2021. Their joy was short-lived, though, as a lady who had been pursuing them broke into their home and provoked a heated argument.
Even though Jenna isn’t on YouTube, she still generates about $2,000 a month from her current material and items, such as dog toys inspired by her pet Mr. Marbles. Following her recent sighting at a mall, fans believe that a “Jennaissance” movie would be a wonderful way to commemorate her comeback.
The question of whether Jenna Marbles should return and if she can atone for her errors remains unanswered. We’ll find out in time.
