He portrayed Timmy in Lassie: The Incredible Journey of Jon Provost. And how does he look these days?

Jon Provost, who was born in Los Angeles on March 12, 1950, became well-known in the United States on television when he played Timmy Martin in the venerable show Lassie. At the age of two, he made his acting debut in the 1953 film So Big.

Following this were segments from Escapade in Japan (1957), Back from Eternity (1956), and The Country Girl (1954). However, the role that would come to define his career was the one he was cast for in 1957, at the age of six, as Timmy.

Before her quick ascent to prominence on television between 1954 and 1973, Lassie had already had a big impact on American society via radio plays, books, movies, and short stories, among other media.

Between 1957 and 1964, Provost played Timmy Martin in an incredible 249 episodes of Lassie.

Jon Provost remembers his experience on the show with fondness, considering it a series of unique “home movies.” He cherishes the memories he has of working alongside Hollywood legends like Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly.

After his time on Lassie, Provost went on to star in numerous movies and is still on television. He has been married twice and is the father of two children. He wrote Timmy’s in the Well: The Jon Provost Story at the age of 73, giving readers an intimate look into his life and career.

Even if Jon Provost isn’t in the media spotlight as much these days, you might still be curious in his current appearance at 73 years old. Here is an illustration:
