A man worries about his wife’s temper and visits the doctor. What’s the issue, the doctor queries?
“Doctor, I don’t know what to do,” the man adds. My wife appears to lose her fury without cause every day. I’m afraid of it.
The physician declares, “I can treat that. Simply take a glass of water and begin swishing it around in your mouth if it appears that your wife is becoming irate. Don’t swallow it until she either leaves the room or settles down—just swish and swish.
The man returns to the doctor two weeks later, appearing completely changed.
The man remarks, “Doctor, you had a really great idea there! I swished with water every time my wife started losing it. I continued to stroke her, and she immediately became peaceful! How does that happen with a glass of water?
The water doesn’t accomplish anything by itself, the doctor claims. It works best when you keep your mouth shut.
