The husband’s connection with his young wife was not harmonious.
The wife even set up a trap for him because she thought he was having an affair with the attractive housemaid.
She abruptly sent the maid home for the weekend one evening without telling the husband. That evening before going to bed, the spouse related the long-standing tale,

Stomach” and vanished into the restroom.
The wife bolted up the back stairs, down the hallway, and into the maid’s bed.
He walked in silently, leaving her with just enough time to turn out the light.
Without wasting any time, he pulled out his revolver, got down on top of her, and proceeded to beat her as if there was no tomorrow.
The woman remarked, “You didn’t expect to find me in this bed, did you?” when he had finished, still gasping. and turned the lamp on. The gardener answered, “No, madam.”
