After her husband, NHL player Johnny Gaudreau, passed away at the age of 31, Meredith Gaudreau wrote a heartfelt ode to him. In a heartfelt Instagram message, Meredith expressed how much she loved Johnny and cherished their time together.
Using a slideshow of images of herself and her husband, Noa, their two children, Johnny, and their dog, Meredith flaunted her idyllic family life. The images depicted a happy, carefree pair who were frequently spotted enjoying fun together.
Meredith commented about how close Johnny was to their children and commended him as a good father. She expressed her sincere affection for him and vowed to make him proud. Emotional photos of Johnny and his wife Noa playing with their infant boy were among the ones that were provided.
Meredith mentioned how close Johnny and his brother Matty were, thus it was tragic that they both perished in the same disaster. She acknowledged Matty’s love for their children and said they couldn’t survive apart.
The families of Johnny and Matty have requested respect and privacy during this difficult time. Being there for one another and clinging to their shared experiences is bringing them peace. The NHL community has expressed how saddened and surprised they are by the news, including Commissioner Gary Bettman, Johnny’s team, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. They have also discussed Johnny’s incredible legacy and skill.
