My prospective in-laws have kicked me out of their house since they don’t know I own it.

Ellen and her spouse David were excessively thrilled about their daughter’s impending nuptials.

Their eldest daughter Lisa appeared to be content with her future husband Ric. It made sense for her to marry the person she believed to be her soulmate after completing her medical degree and beginning her career as a doctor.

Because Lisa was a lovely daughter and had dedicated herself to her education, Ellen and David felt she deserved to own a house. Although the house wasn’t large, Lisa found it to be sufficient.

Ellen and David received a call from Lisa one evening. She told them she wanted Ric to move in with her and that she needed to talk to them about something.

After some hesitation from David, they finally decided to move in together because, in the end, Ric would soon be Lisa’s husband.

In order to get their families together, Lisa and Ric decided to host a family dinner before really starting to prepare the wedding. Ellen and David were excited to meet Ric’s parents as they had never done so before. But neither Ellen nor her spouse could have imagined that the family meal would become a feast from hell.

That example, Ric’s parents were at Lisa’s house when Ellen, David, and their younger daughter Leah arrived. Following some time spent chatting, Ellen, David, and their daughter walked outside to set up the barbeque. David and Leah briefly entered the building to get some spices, but they soon departed and informed Ellen that they had to go home as soon as possible.

Ellen didn’t even attempt to pursue it further because David wasn’t the kind of man to make things seem bigger than they actually were. That being said, if something startled him, it was probably justified.

Leah wasn’t feeling well, they stated, and they left for home.

David informed Ellen that he had heard Ric’s parents say they would not ask them to Lisa and Ric’s wedding but would make them pay for it once they were in the car.

Ellen was taken aback. She found it incomprehensible that Lisa would even agree to her future son-in-law’s parents’ desire to keep them out of their own daughter’s wedding.

When Ellen arrived at Lisa’s house the next morning, she noticed her in-laws’ car sitting in the driveway. She knocked multiple times, but nobody picked up. Ellen knocked repeatedly until Ric’s mother opened the door a little since she knew they were inside. She said that Lisa was no longer like them and that she didn’t require the influence of her parents in her life, accusing Ellen of influencing Lisa excessively.

Furthermore, Ric’s mother announced that Lisa, Ric, and her husband will be living together after she and her husband moved in. She continued by saying that they would receive a portion of the wedding bill even though they would not be invited.

Ellen was hearing things that she couldn’t believe. She was still in disbelief, so she gave Lisa a call and begged her to think twice before moving through with the wedding without her family’s presence. Lisa regretfully stated that she would accept her in-laws’ choice.

Ellen made the decision to take serious actions because the house Lisa, Ric, and his parents moved into was still under her name. Ellen and David sold the house after she gave them ten days to vacate the property, but they refused.

Ellen wrote, “I just gave our future in-laws a lesson in boundaries.”

Since then, Lisa has relocated to a small apartment close to her place of employment, and Ellen is unaware of the whereabouts of Ric’s parents. Although they haven’t gotten married yet, Lisa and Ric have remained together.

Ellen wanted to know if it was wrong for her to sell the house and use the proceeds to purchase her other daughter the car of her dreams after telling her story.
