Which old things hold up well today and don’t need to be updated? (such as this flawless perpetual calendar I discovered)
I’ve fallen in love with things like this everlasting calendar that I discovered on Etsy, which I believe dates back to the 1970s.

Does anyone know of any other similar goods that, despite being more recent in design, are no longer relevant due to advancements in technology?
What makes it so sublime? Since it seems like the ideal design in my opinion.
Rationale: 10/10
- Every day you have to change the date, which forces you to be in the present. I always have to check my phone since it’s part of my ritual, and I never forget the date. It gives me a sense of purpose and initiates my day.
Style: 10/10
- No additional frills are required. There are three ways to modify the date, month, and day. Extremely basic.
Build and Quality: 9.8/10
- Aside from the cards maybe falling out of order, there really isn’t a simple method for it to break. However, because each component is so simply made, it won’t break down easily if you handle it properly.
I keep thinking about things like this and whether or whether there are any more out there. Any advice is much appreciated!
