The 1993 Academy of Country Music Awards and the 1996 Houston Rodeo are just two of the many occasions Strait has sung the tune. Along with Sheryl Crow and fellow country music legend Chris Stapleton, he also performed a few duets. The song received favorable reviews from reviewers and fans, and it was put forward for a 1994 Grammy Award nomination for Best Country Song. “When Did You Stop Loving Me” became one of Strait’s signature songs, despite the fact that it lost to Mary Chapin Carpenter’s “Passionate Kisses” at the 36th Grammy Awards.
