Usually, when we see the doctor, we are not thinking about anything amusing. To be honest, most of us won’t even consider going to the doctor unless we have a few major symptoms to address. Because of this, the mother and daughter were taken aback when the doctor revealed the diagnosis with a hint of humor. Actually, it’s going to make you smile broadly and for the duration of the day:
A mother brings her sixteen-year-old daughter to the physician. “All right, Mrs. James, what’s the problem?” asks the doctor. “That’s my daughter Darla,” the mother says. She is gaining weight, experiencing these urges again, and feeling ill most mornings. The physician examines Darla thoroughly before turning to face the mother and stating, “I’m not sure how to tell you this, but your Darla is pregnant—I’d say she’s about four months along.”
Mom asks, “Are you pregnant? She has never been left alone with a man, thus she can’t be! Darla, have you?
Darla answers, “No, mom! I’ve never even given a man a kiss!
The physician approached the window and simply gazed out of it. After about five minutes, the mother at last asks, “Doctor, is there something wrong?”
“No, not really,” the doctor responds. “It’s just that three wise men appeared over the hill and a star appeared in the east the last time anything similar happened.” I swear on my life that I won’t miss it this time!
