The story begins with a woman who is starting to lose her patience with her spouse for being late home again. She takes matters into her own hands and writes a message for him since she can no longer wait. “I’ve had enough and have left you,” the note reads. Come after me with no bother. After that, she ducks beneath the bed to watch her husband’s reaction.
The spouse gets home soon after, and she hears him getting up and down in the kitchen before going into the bedroom. She observes as he approaches the dresser to retrieve the note. Her pulse quickens as she considers his possible reaction.
Then, though, something unexpected occurs. On the note, the husband begins writing something. The woman, bewildered, attempts to make sense of it all. What on earth could he be writing? As she hears her husband on the phone, her uncertainty turns to shock.
“He’s finally left… Yes, I am aware of the bloody time. I’m planning to visit you. Put on your chic French panties. I cherish you. I’m eager to see you. We’ll indulge in all your filthy desires. After hanging up, he takes his keys and exits the residence.
The woman is inconsolable. Her eyes fill with tears, and she is enraged beyond belief. She is shocked by what she just heard. She grabs for the message, feeling both loss and rage, and finds what her husband had written. Then all of a sudden, it all makes sense.
I’m able to see your feet. We’re out of bread; please return in five.
That sure escalated fast! As it happens, her husband had read the message incorrectly and thought it was a reminder to get bread. They were both confused and amused by the amusing sequence of events that followed the mistake.
