When Amy Grant had a bike accident in the summer of 2022, it scared the heck out of everyone. The singer disclosed that the incident had some long-term effects after recovering swiftly.
Now that the accident has happened, she is discussing things that have changed.
In the 20th century, Amy Grant started her career in modern Christian music. Probably the first Christian vocalists who switched to pop music was her.
The vocalist, who is 62 years old, was raised in Augusta, Georgia. She learned how to play the guitar on own accord and is the youngest of her four sisters.
When her debut self-titled album was published in 1978, it contributed significantly to her rise to fame. She left college early to focus on her music career, and in 1982 she published the well-known album “Age to Age,” which propelled her to new heights in her profession.
Some of her more seasoned admirers were taken aback when she experimented with genre hopping in 1991 with the release of “Heart in Motion.” However, she always made sure to release holiday-themed songs including Christmas music.
The singer hit a pothole while riding her bike in July 2022. After being knocked from her bike, she was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she remained unconscious for fifteen minutes. The singer was, in fact, wearing a helmet at the time, according to a representative for her.
The vocalist is now admitting that she has been in pain ever since, particularly with her memory. “To be honest, I don’t know what I don’t remember,” she remarked, and Grant concurred. “Well, the other night I went to supper with a friend from high school. In the past, we would stay the night at one other’s homes. “I’m ashamed to ask, but are you and your husband still together?” I said. It felt as though I had just learned of Douglas’s passing seven years ago when she said as much.
“Last week was my first time back on stage, and I can’t think of a more gentle way to get back into the limelight than doing a Christmas concert with my dear friend Michael W. Smith,” Grant said while attending the 45th Kennedy Center Honors. Grant has been talking about her healing journey for a while.
“I had anxiety on the first day.” I wrote tunes, but I lost the lyrics. Just a healing trip, but on a different path this time. I’m not exaggerating when I say that love and kindness are also incredibly healing; I feel full from head to toe,” the woman remarked.
“He has just been so patient,” she said, thanking her spouse for his support. “Vince has a way of grounding the space that we’re in even without saying a word,” the woman continued.
“I believe that I asked myself, ‘What if I’m different? What if I’m not the same?’ early on. and he remarked, “Hey, it’s good that we love each other and that every day we wake up a little different.”
“I feel like my old rascally self,” she continued.
